Allana Buick & Bers (ABB) was selected by the City of San Jose through an open competition to provide inspection and construction monitoring services of the roofing, flashings, below grade, sealants and sheet metal components at the new $1 Billion North Concourse Terminal Building at Norman Y. Mineta San Jose International Airport.

ABB also performed a peer review of the construction details prepared by Gensler Architects for the building envelope, roofing and below grade waterproofing components. The systems reviewed included single ply and built up roofing of various manufacturers, below grade waterproofing by Laurenco, spray applied air barrier systems by Grace and roofing, flashing and sealants by various manufacturers. ABB also provided review of the skylight construction details for the Paseo Skylight system by Supersky.

ABB provided on site construction monitoring of the waterproofing components in the mat slab prior to pouring of the foundation slab and piers, installation of the skylights, air barrier system behind the curtain wall, roofing, flashing, sheet metal, sealants and related building envelope components. ABB reviewed the skylight system mock up constructed off site in Southern California. For all components, our Construction Monitors submitted daily inspection reports to the construction manager team, attended and assisted in weekly construction administration and scheduling meetings and assisted in project close out.
